PEG-10 Dimethicone is a polyether-modified silicone oil, synthesized by copolymerizing polyether chains with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). This nonionic surfactant combines the low surface tension and lubricity of silicones with the hydrophilic properties of polyether groups. It acts as an exceptional water-in-oil (W/O) and water-in-silicone (W/Si) emulsifier, enabling stable emulsions with up to 90% water-phase content.
